The operations of the Secretariat are administered by a
Board of Directors consisting of sixteen members of which seven are
nominated by the Cree Regional Authority, six members from Ville de
Val-d'Or, Ville de Rouyn-Noranda, Ville d'Amos at two members each, one
member of Conférence régionale des élus de l’Abitibi-Témiscamingue
and one member of Ministère des Affaires municipales et des Régions and the Coordinator of the
Secretariat.
Dr. Ted Moses acts as President of the
Secretariat. He is well-known figure in the business community of
Abitibi-Témiscamingue. He
was extensively involved in the negotiation of the social, economic and
political development of the Cree Nation under the James Bay and Northern
Québec Agreement, 1975 and La Paix des Braves Agreement, 2002.
